Nuff, an eight-year-old boy who is in second grade, will go to the end of the earth to help any of his friends should they need his assistance. It doesn’t matter what the circumstances are he will do what it takes, day or night, as long as it’s before his bedtime. Nuff will always come to the rescue of his amazing friends.
Dad’s are a son’s first hero, and a daughter’s first love.
The History Of Father’s Day
A customary day for the celebration of fatherhood known to date back to at least 1508. Even way back then they knew that dads are dyn-o-mite. Nuff can hardly imagine how many fathers have celebrated Father’s Day since then, and even before that. His estimate is millions and he knows there is at least one more dad that needs to be celebrated too!
In the United States the first Father’s Day service occurred in Fairmont, West Virginia, on the 5th of July in 1908. Hundreds of men had died in a local mining accident. Grace Golden Clayton, the daughter of a reverend, organized a Sunday service to honor the fathers who died. More than 360 men and boys were killed. The tragedy left about 1,000 children fatherless.
The Fairmont service was the first known to honor fathers. However, it did not turn Father’s Day into an annual event. It wasn’t until 1972, when President Richard Nixon signed a law declaring that Father’s Day be celebrated annually on the third Sunday in June. Since then it has been an official, permanent national holiday.

Reviews
“This book is a wonderful tribute to dad’s. Nuff has a wonderful relationship with his father, and they enjoy lots of activities together. When his dad goes out of town and his bike breaks down, Nuff is sad that his mother doesn’t know how to help him. Luckily, his dad returns in time to fix the bike, and Nuff is able to join his friends at the Bikeathon. Young readers will enjoy these cute illustrations, and it’s easy to read.” — Lazann
“What a great book to show the importance of dads. They can basically do it all. They are our hero’s. Reminds me of my dad and how special he was.” — Carolyn Cutler Hughes
“I loved the pie chart breaking down every role a dad plays in a home. The dad in our house handles all spiders too. Nuff was lucky to have a good dad who’s there for him in a pitch (bike repair). This is a great book for anytime of year, but especially Father’s Day.” — Donna Glass
