Nuff is an eight-year-old boy who is in second grade and kind of has a thing for one of the girls in his class. Knowing that the girl only brings macaroni (you know, Mac) and cheese to school for lunch and snack time, Nuff devises a plan to win her over. By the way, rumor has it that Mac & Cheese is all she eats for breakfast and dinner too!
Believing that peanut butter and jelly (you know, PBJ) is the greatest food on the planet since sliced bread, Nuff sets out on a mission to change his classmate’s palate. He brings extra PBJ sandwiches to school with him in an attempt to get the pulchritudinous (very beautiful) girl of his dreams to try something different for once.
From the bus, to the classroom, to the lunchroom, Nuff does his very best to get a beautiful young girl, who only eats one thing, to try and eat something different for a change. Fortunately for Nuff that something different may be more than just PBJ.
Reviews
“Nuff puts in the effort and gets his friend Emily to try his favorite food, PB and J, while Emily is quite devoted to her Mac and cheese. A fun story for a read aloud! This is book most kids can relate to.” — Reads-a-lot
“This story is like Green Eggs and Ham with a little twist and more words. If you like Green Eggs and Ham, you’ll like this book too.” — Jennifer N.
“This is the cutest rhyming book of a friend trying to persuade another friend to try something different. Only a good friend would want you to take a break from your normal and try something new, that they enjoy. Take a chance! You never know, you just might like it!” — Tiffiney R. McDaniel
“A little girl only likes mac and cheese and refuses to try anything else. We’re big Dr Seuss fans in our household, so we enjoyed this story loosely based on the wonderful book Green Eggs and Ham, and we particularly liked the different ending, when she finally tries a different dish.” — Alex
“My granddaughter and I laughed while we read this cute book. She loves macaroni and cheese, so she could relate to this tale. The text is rhyming and repetitive, which works well for beginner readers. This story encourages young children to try new things.” — Carolyn
